A friend had a red 4dr in the sixties (early shape) we'd shoot around in it.It was very cool there were'nt many corvairs in the UK.We did't consider it a bad handling car,we had no problems.Especially when it came to getting women in it.
It made a lasting impression with me.When the green coupe came up locally in the 90s,I just had to have it.It was an N/Carolina car it needed paint but was otherwise solid. The man was a Corvair nut and had
shipped it back here after driving it round the US on holiday. We got on and I went over with him in 98 and
did Carlisle,Hershey and some touring.
I've had the car about 12yrs now and I'm a confirmed
fan.It gets a lot of attention here young boys put their thumbs up sometimes when I'm driving, they obviously think its cool too.
