I have been a member of CORSA since 1972 and have owned about thirty corvairs since 1968, my first being a 1963 Spyder convt. I have owned every model except a 1962 Lakewood wagon. most junkers or parts vehicles. My wife and I are charter members of the Show-Me Corvair club, and have been members of Red River Corvair Club at one time. We are also charter members of the Littlerock Corvair Club, and are members of the Corvanatics at this time. We have not had the opertunity to be as active as we once were but still try to keep in contact with the Corvair experience in these clubs. Corvairs were all we drove for about 7 years and have a great many wonderful memories of the many activities and relationships we have experienced in these past years. I enjoy the communiques and the local club and corvanatics news letters and all that is included in them and still believe that the Corvair automobile is the best engineered automobile in the 60's era. my wife and I have road raced, rallied, autocrossed, gymkanaed, and a little drag racing in Corvairs, and just plain drove them everyday, and road trips, and just cruised just for fun just to watch heads turn. My Son's and Daughters first cars were Corvairs. We bought my Son's when he was 15 and worked on it for three years before the restoration was done. He took his first drivers test in it ,drove it to school, drove away with his bride on his wedding day, and brought our first grand child home in it. My daughter drove her's for about 4 or 5 months and totaled it out but she was unhurt. She still misses it every once in awhile. one of my desires is to own a decent clean lakewood or 62 700 wagon. There is more but I don't want to go on and on so this is a birds eye view for now. I have a computer and have heard so much about virtual vairs I thought why not!
