1963 Greenbrier, Aztec Bronze w/140 hp. which at one time had cruise control. Interior has rust/white carpeting throughout, dull rust tufted ceiling. Seating behind converts from two benchs to a cafe booth config. complete with dining table. The engine access panel has been split down the center and is hinged at the front ala trapdoor mode. The lower engine access flap has been upholstered tufted rust naugahyde. Oh, the seats, with an additional (large) cushion can convert to a bed. It had a roof rack which has seen better days that I am planning to sand and paint because just rechroming the runner bars (stanchions are in good condition) would cost an arm and an arm. Wheels are 205-70R14's on Cragar (I believe) mags which make it an ARMFULL to do any shopping lot turns. Much narrower tires are in the offing. The shift points (4-speed) could be measured with a yardstick and when I came to a stop I was never sure if I was in 3rd, 1st or Rev.. Lots of handmade shims and bushings made the situation tolerable.
More about myself:
I live in Milwaukee, have degrees in Auto Technology and Manufacturing Engineering and specialise in CNC programming. I joined the MCC after being bitten by the Corvair bug (after seeing this 'brier on ebay) after some 30 years. Rebuilding the 140 will be the 4th engine in the van in about 6 months. When it comes to Corvair engines I'm like that guy in Lil' Abner who always walked around with a black cloud over his head. This time I plan to redo it right, or as least I'll know who to blame.
