I am currently in the middle of the purchase of a 6?? Corvair Monza. I dont know the year yet because there is no title and it has been sitting in a garage since 1972 and it is in very good shape, no rot on the exterior and VERY minimal surface rust and the doors shut perfectly with the that great sounding 'click'. Only place there is rot is on the battery tray. The interior is in good shape, dirty but untorn. Engine turns over but I havent had it started. I dont know much about it. I just looked at it today and hopefully I will learn more. I think it is early 60s because of the wrap around windshield. I have restored a 1972 Monte Carlo and in the middle of a 1947 Dodge Truck that I have already put in a Chevy 350 which mostly all it needs is brakes and body work. The Corvair was given to a friend of mine that wanted to cut the @#%^ out the body and make into a dune buggy then decided that it was in too good of shape to destroy and I "make some mean ass cars" and was offered the car. So I am the soon to be owner of it and somewhat later driver of it. I love how they look, I wish I would of got one sooner.
