More about myself:
I'm a 30 yr. old A.S.E certified, I-CAR trained, auto body technician and also a head industrial painter. I am currently involved in a complete ground up restoration on a 1962 Monza 900 Sedan with only 35,000 miles on it. The car has been completely gutted. All seam sealers and undercoats were removed and then the body was completly stripped inside and out and underneath by machine grinding and sanding and then sandblasting. I replaced the dog legs inner and outer panels, inner and outer fenders the entire floor, front belly pan and inner, battery box, and the outer rear support. Many panels were fabricated from scratch and others were purchased and then modified to match the originals because the aftermarket panels didn't match at all. The suppliers need to make some major adjustments on their panels. The car is now sitting in the primer stage awaiting blocking and wet sanding. When the car is finished I'm hopping the car will recieve top awards in the original restored class. I love restoring cars especially corvairs because they are so original. If I can't restore the car to 100% original then I will not attempt to restore the car. I will not modify any component of the vehicle. I'm a perfectionist so it has to be done right. If I don't like the work I performed on the car, I know that the customer won't either, so I do it till its perfect. If anyone has any restoration questions,(body and uphostery only) feel free to e-mail me at john_m23058@yahoo.com or give me a call at (701)-645-9026. I love to chat. Thanks John Mousseau.
