The Corvair I have is the only one I have owned. It was my first car (way back to High School). It has been restored before my purchase of it and I am restoring it again (the Michigan winters ruined it). I have rebuilt the engine once so far. I am cutting off body panels and welding in new ones. I have reconstructed one door piller from individual pieces of metal. I am a poor person restorer with only one objective in mind. To keep the Vair alive! I have thought about getting rid of it more than once due to the body work and the amount of rust. I started the body restoration in 1997 but stopped in 1998. I am begining the restoration again on 4/2005 in hopes of finishing the body work. Wish me luck, safety, and encouragement.
