1966 Monza 2 door coupe, owned since 1975. Aztec bronze in and out. Engine was built by Ben Adams of Grand Forks, N.D. when I was stationed there. +.060 overbore, OT-20 cam, 140 heads, originally built with a 390cfm Holley, now has the four Rochesters back on. I've picked up many options for my Corvair, when it's restored this time it will have AM/FM/MPX, tissue dispenser, emergency brake warning light, four way flasher, headrests, telescoping column with wood wheel, Corsa dash and shifter cover, gas, bumper, and door edge guards, and rear mount antenna. I've toyed with the idea of mounting reproduction Corvette Kelsey-Hayes knock off wheels.
More about myself:
Car has seen about 3,000 miles in the last 32 years, was a 29,000 mile car when I bought it. I picked up a set of 3 choke Webers when I was stationed in West Germany and had a set of 140 heads modified for them in 1984. I was a member of Circle City Corvairs and edited the newsletter for one year. Everything has set on a shelf since then. I recently bought a set of Howard barrels and 94mm Mahle pistons to finally make the Corvair engine I've wanted for a long time. Case is at the machine shop now, and I've talked to Michael LeVeque about assembling the engine when it's time. I also own 3 1966 Ford Galaxies, a 1973 Buick Riviera, a 1976 Mercury Capri, and a 1982 Mustang GT with 19,000 miles that I bought new. I'm about to retire after 32 years as an air traffic controller, once I have the time, I'll see if I have the money to restore these old lumps.
