1961 Lakewod - Green 1964 Coupe - Silver Blue

I was in Germany when I joined VV, but I have since returned. I drug my 64 out of storage and the Lakewood is next. The coupe is the very first Corvair I ever bought and I have had it since 1983. It had about 90K miles on it then and it is up to 168K now. It has been all over the country starting in Tucson where I bought it, to South Dakota, Upper Michigan, Chicago, Atlanta, Mississippi, Florida, and now Southern Ilinois. It's a bit worse for the wear, but we drove it from Tucson to Chicago to get married in June of '83, and brought my son home from the hospital in it in 1985. He gets his license next year, so what better car to teach him how to drive in? The wagon is going under the knife to modify it to suit my desires.
