More about myself:

I own a 1972 VW Bus that I plan to convert into a "Transvair" (Corvair engine in a Transporter). The 1700cc (60HP<) engine barely gets us out of the valley, and the 110HP/4speed AirCooled engine would not only get us out of the valley, we'd be able to tow a small boat! I know this use of a Corvair drivetrain may make some purists on both the Corvair and VW sides squeemish, but anything that keeps any parts of our old iron from the recycler is a good thing, IMHO.
