More about myself:
My father was a 30 year employee of Fisher Body in Fairfield, Ohio, and we owned the 3 above mentioned models. I grew up in the back seat of all 3 of these cars, and had the whole seat to myself. My sister was born in 1966, and we had added a larger family car to the family.
I was the proud driver of the 1966 Corsa all through high school, and it earned me spots in many parades loaded down with cheerleaders. I could not have been luckier. All of the motor heads of those days were amazed how good that car with 180 horsepower would run. You could drive it all day like that, and my father did. I can remember driving from Oxford,Ohio to Lexington, Kentucky in less than two hours in those days, and crossing the bridge over the Ohio river at 90 miles an hour, and never misssing a beat. The car was fast, and cute, and Ralph Nader was and is an idiot. I have far too many other good memories from that car than I have the time or space to write. I just wish we had not sold it to the man in our neighborhood that owned two other corvairs him self. If I could ever find it, I would.
Keep those Corvairs hummnin.
