Bought my first Corvair in 1962, it was a `61 Monza with a 80hp engine/ 3-speed trans.,like new, it was probably one of the best trouble free cars that I have ever owned ( as soon as I realized I would have to do my own mechanical work myself ). I taught my wife how to drive on this car and we drove it all over the country, putting 140,000 on it before selling it to my brother who drove it for a long time. My next car was a 1965 Corsa 180hp Turbo, my favorite, hope to get it back someday, we drove only Corvairs up till 1973. I owned quite a few Corvairs in the early 70s when they were too cheap to turn down but I moved in 1974 and had to cut back on my collection. I first joined CORSA in the early 70s, my member was in the first 2000. My sons talked me into Pontaic Fieros and I made a hobby with them winning trophies with them at national shows but the last few years I have been selling the Fieros off and buying Corvairs, the first of this year I bought a really nice 1966 Corsa Convertible in my favorite color of Marina Blue so I am back having FUN again ! ( you don`t miss them until they are gone ! )
