Bought my first Corvair in 1962, it was a 61 Monza with a 80hp engine/3-seed trans. like new, it was probably one of the best cars I have owned. I taught my wife how to drive in that car and we put over 140,ooo on it before selling it to my brother who drove it for a long time. My next car was a 1965 Corsa 180hp Turbo, my favorite,hope to get it back someday,we drove only Corvairs up till about 1973. I had as many as 23 Corvairs at one time when they were too cheep to turn down, I moved and started cutting back on my collectionin in 1974. I first joined Corsa back in the early '70s, my number was in the first 2000. My sons talked me into Pontaic Fieros for their first cars and I have made a hobby with them ( I have seven),bring home a trophy from the last three national shows, but I still like Corvairs.
