More about myself:
B"H
I have been an old car, and Chevy nut for many years now. I finally decided to buy my dream car, a Sixties-era Chevy hardtop. The Corvair has the styling, along with simple and reliable mechanicals, and is by far the most reasonably-priced Chevy collectible car on the market, and to make it even better, parts are readily available.
I live in Brooklyn, New York, in addition to (and above) cars, my passions are my wife and six children and one grandson (ke"h) and my love of G-d.
My decision to buy and drive a Corvair was strictly a practical one, there is no other collectible Chevy that comes even close to the Corvair in this regard. The only other oldie I had was a 72 Dart Swinger, in excellent shape, rust-free, 70K original miles, but the poor slant six sucked gas like a drunk on Skid Row, getting no better than 9 mpg in Brooklyn crawl-and-snarl traffic. The Vair gets close to double that in the same traffic conditions, and it's more stylish and sporty than the Dart.
