My first new in 1960 was a red corvair coupe with 3sp trans and a gas heater.Had her 20 days fell asleep driving home from girl friends house (worked may hours and it was late)flipped it after I hit a colvert.Totaled it out.All I got was small cut on nose. So much for unsafe at airbore speed.That was so much fun I traded it in for 1961 Monza 3sp Hondus Maroon. With this car we wenty on our honeymoon to Oceancity Md. Driving thru the mountains of Virginia convinced me that I needed a four speed if I was to really the sportyness of the corvair.So traded the 61 in on a 1963 Monza 4 sp.Same color.great car.Kept that for awhile.
