More about myself:
I am a qualified mechanical engineer. Used to work in the Tech Centre at General Motors-Holdens in the early 70's as a project engineer (chassis design) working on Holden cars. Now own my own business importing parts to assist in the restoration and maintenance of cars and light trucks of North American origin manuf from 1949 to present day.
I own 26 Chevys from 1925 to 1983 (3 being Corvairs), plus a 1966 Olds Toro, 6 Holdens from 1956 to 1986, 4 m/cycles (3 being Ducati singles from the early 70's) an aeroplane (WW2 Australian built Wirraway, similar to the US T-6 Texan ). (GM used to own a share in the company which manufactured these planes back in the 30's and 40's) and a Farmall 'A' tractor.
I have a wife (Elizabeth) and two sons, (David - 21yo, and Matthew - 18 yo).
Ballarat is a city of about 80,000 population, located 70 miles north-west of Melbourne. It has 30" average rainfall, and virtually no snow. Summer temp range 60 low to 100 high; winter temp range 32 low to 60 high.
One thing I need for the 65 convertible is an original rear seat (base and back) suitable to be recovered at a reasonable price (it costs almost 3 times the purchase cost of a part in USA to land it in Australia) . Preferably located in the West Coast area, close to Long Beach where we ship from, to mimimise shipping costs within the USA. Any help would be appreciated.
