My father had Corvairs from the time I was born until I was 11 years old. I am now 44 and the proud owner of my first Corvair. I purchased my 'vair a little over two years ago with aspirations of a complete restore. Needless to say, not much has been done due to time restraints. I recently changed jobs and will have more free time to pursue my project. One other problem is I'm not exactly mechanically inclined. Fortunately, I have met a few Corvair lovers who have offered their help, which I greatly appreciate. The cars body is solid with a few dents. The paint is original and desperately needs redone. The interior is also original and in very good shape. The motor is not so good. She ran great the first year I had her, but a fuel problem cropped up that I just can't resolve. I think I was supposed to tell about myself and not the car, but the car is more exciting.
