1965 Corvair Corsa Convertible, Laser Red w /white stripes /custom int. Weber Engine.
More about myself:
I grew up in Detroit on the next street from Ed Cole. Went to school with his daughter Martha. She had a 61' White w/ red int. 4-speed Monza Cpe. just like mine
Enjoyed many exibitions of performance of experimental cars (Duntov Corvettes, Cadillac Cyclones etc.) by Ed's son David. He would slowly drive
over to my street out of his dads watchful eye and test the FULL potential of the car. What a show!
After leaving Detroit to attend Art Center College of Design for an Industrial Design BA Degree in Tranportation, I went to work for Northrop illustrating NASA
projects. I spent 5 years at Northrop and then went to work for Walt Disney Imagineering where I recently retired after 30 fun years of designing rides and shows
for all of the Disney Theme Parks all over the world.
I have owned 3 Corvairs, the '61, a 65 Corsa Cpe and currently a '65 Corsa Convertible that my son Craig and I restored. It took 1st place at the '99 Corsa Convention
in Lake Tahoe for Peoples Choice- Late Model Open. It has subsequently won another 1st at the All GM Show @ Woodly Park in California. It has a custom fiber glass spoiler
(air dam) in front and a custom interior of 4 bucket seats with the Corsa emblem.
