For no start I usually try starting fluid first as it's easy to do by yourself. If it fires on the fluid, you have spark and should probably start looking at the fuel system. Symptoms listed sound a bit like bad hoses from tank to fuel pump or just a weak pump. Checked the fuel pressure?

If you have a helper available, check to see how good the spark is anyway - nice fat, consistent spark? Or more like a random blip? Worn points plate or my personal favorite, a bad hot lead to the coil, can cause poor ignition even with fresh tune up parts. You can do some troubleshooting by yourself by turning the ignition on and opening and closing the points by hand, you should get a nice spark every time.

Good luck!

If I let the fuel pump run for 5 seconds, no start. Run the fuel pump for 15 seconds, no start, 1 minute, no start, 2 minutes, no start. After attempting this routine, I let the car sit for 2 hours, then it starts right up and runs within 3 seconds and runs great. It stars right up again after it has been running but if I shut it off for 10 minutes, like when filling up at a gas station, it cranks but wont start. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, sometimes a while longer, it usually starts. It has new points, plugs, Spark plug wires. Any Ideas?
