I agree, spark test. I have seen a condenser do this too, like Tony has. 
Also do the spark test right after it is running so you can see the 
difference in spark when it will not start. Get a baseline so to say.

"It has new points, plugs, Spark plug wires"

Was this done as routine maintenance or trying to fix this problem?
