<VV> 1965 Corvair Gas Tank Ground Wire

G'day from Australia,
Happy New Year from 'down under'. I am wondering if anyone can help me with following?

I am currently trying to determine why the Oil Pressure light on our '65 Monza, does not come on when I turn the ignition switch to the 'ON' position as the Generator light does?

I noticed that a ground (earth) wire was not attached to the gas tank sender unit. So I made up a new ground (earth) wire, cleaned all the connections and installed it to what I think are the right locations. However this has not corrected the problem and I am now wondering if I might not have not connected the ground wire correctly?

Does anyone a have a photo or illustration showing where and how this ground wire should be attached? I might add that all other dash electrics / lights as far as I can see, are functioning correctly.

Any help, advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
