Thanks everyone for the comments and replies.  Great forum and certainly the Corvair community is always so helpful.
After looking at several options, including some real off brands, autocycle tires, and at the much taller Radial T/A's, I have decided to go with Seth's suggestion of going with the KUMHO's even though they are two slightly different models.  They are in the right sizes, fill the wheel wells good, and I don't rotate them anyway. So, I will just order a pair of each for my 69 and then not worry about driving the car on 20 year old tires. Appreciate all the input! Todd in Texas

You can get the same "pairs" of tires from Kumho tires right now - Both in the 205/55-15 (KUMHO ECSTA PS31) and the 225/50-15 sizes. (KUMHO ECSTA AST)
Good tires. I believe Yokohama tires have both sizes as well. (ADVAN) I just put 195/60-15s on a set of 7" wheels. They fit fine and look great. A 225/50 would be very tight on the front, but fine for the rear. The Pole Positions were good tires, in their time. Good luck.

Hello From Texas!
So, I have been googling the heck out of this but not finding the information I need.  Took the 69 Convertible out for a drive a couple days ago (it was 77 degrees here in Texas) and had a blast.  I got to thinking about tires.  The current tires on the car are Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position, 205/55/15 on the front and 225/50/15 on the rear, mounted on Crager SS mags, 7" and 8" I believe.  These tires are 23.9" tall.  Anyway, the tires, which look like brand new, with only maybe 3000 miles on them, are old.  I believe they are probably 20 years old and should be replaced.  And of course, Bridgestone no longer makes these tires, nor does it appear that anyone makes tires in these sizes anymore in the same model.   What are the recommendations for 15 inch tires for a late model?  Should I be looking for tires taller than 23.9"?  Must be a sign of the times, but seems like very few manufacturers make 15" tires anymore, and I really don't want to buy new rims too.  I also like blackwall tires on the car, and BF Goodrich tires seem to be all white letter.Any thoughts on what fits? Todd in Texas69 Convertible, LeMans Blue, #3388
