I sent note asking for input on the loctite thread repair but have since
determined that it is no longer available except from a few folks who have
hoarded it and are asking $50+ for what was a $15 product and that just
rubbed me wrong (even though I passed economics 101). I attempted to
manufacture a fastener from a solid 12-32 screw from a 1962 Corvair YH
throttle body by drilling through its length and then cross drilling a hole
for the fuel to come out like the original and it worked! Problem solved. I
was not able to find a metric equivalent for the fastener threads because
none of the tables on line list the size.
