of the Story
Hello, everyone, and thanks to those who replied to my question about a
suddenly occurring miss on my Spyder. The vast majority suggested a
compression check which I just did [I checked the other suggestions too.].
#3 = 120 psi; #5 = O. I started it afterward and listened for a bit while
it idled. I could hear a faint tap or "clink" occasionally, so I'm guessing
it's the valve seat.
The engine has always been mechanically somewhat noisy so I'm suspecting
wear elsewhere and am considering opting to buy a rebuilt engine in the
spring.
Thanks again for your assistance. It just goes to show you what a great
Corvair family CORSA is!
Best wishes for the future!
