VERY tricky  to do and have a drivable vehicle. I discussed doing it many years ago with Larry Claypool who has done one. As I remember , The main thing is shift points will not let turbo and timing work without bog and detonation due to radical RPM changes . This was back before we had electronics that MAY  help.  I would ask Larry for his input. Not a recommended project.
