Mel I have one in my back garage attic. Never paid any attention to if it was a 164 block or a 145 block. I’d be pleased to give it to you just so you’d be on the owe me side of the ledger. I’ll look at it this afternoon.

Not interested in any other, as I put AC, and a lot of goodies in this one; do not want to start over.?

> Of helping a fellow club member with his 1961 FC.? It's my first time working on any wiring on an early model.? His engine wiring harness was a mess!? So we ordered a new one.? All my experience has been with late-model wiring harnesses where the resistance wire doubles back on itself and does not directly connect to the coil.? This new wiring harness has only one wire that will reach to the coil and that is a fabric covered resistance wire!? I'm a little confused.? Is the coil receiving less than 12 V all the time?? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

There is a yellow wire in the incoming body harness that is not in the new engine? harness- that is from the starter? and supplies 12V to the coil when cranking.? I removed it from the old and installed it in the new and Viola ! I now have taillights and brake lights ! There were also a few extra wires for the generator and regulator that I removed because I have an Alternator now.
