Smitty says,  lets don’t get carried away .  I appreciate the thoughts but it is better to let me do things in my own hard headed way.  Folks here have offered to swap out the head too but I prefer to keep the one that is on there . Biggest reason is that the engine is very low mileage.  Any other head would be questionable as to condition, meaning valves, guides, springs etc.  That is getting into work this one will not require.  To my mind a properly installed insert is so much less work than pulling the head it is a no contest.   Should this repair fail then I would still keep the same head for the above reasons.
