<VV> 5 speed (OD) transaxles (automatic)

Top Speed:  I bought a new loaded '89 Mitsubishi Galant GS, DOHC 4 cyl., OD automatic.  Running Alligator Alley (bottom of Fl. Everglades), it would do an indicated 117 in 5th, but 122 down in 4th.  Incidentally, that was a well-built car - as was the later top line Diamante SOHC V6.  That one was a real road burner in perfect comfort.
