Yes, it is that simple, no extra wires, diodes, etc. required.  I don't know 
if the empty slot is available for all years, but is was for every one I 
have looked at.  The empty slot is hot with the tail lights.  The wire you 
move is the one that goes to the parking lights.

Just move the purple wire on the headlight switch to the currently empty
