I get them apart far enough to rinse them out and look at races and rollers. IF Ok I lube them and put them back together. Getting the dust cover ring off without messing it up sometimes is fun.I have done them successfully on several cars and FC's. If any bad spots , forget it and get Clark's kits. Loosing a bearing on the road can happen without much warning! IF any noises , look at it asap , done think you are going very far.There are pictures in the tech guide. I've heard of cleaning/repacking the wheel/axle bearings on earlies, don't recall the details.
