Corvair valve springs are the same size as 327ci small block engines. So there are a good number of after market ones that will fit.The lightest components you can get will help in many ways. They reduce friction and the chance of valve float at higher RPMs.Paul Fox

Subject: <VV> Valve Spring Retainer Substitution
Does anyone know if other valve spring retainers can be used with 140hp
valve springs? Clark's is about double the Summit Racing price so I'm
curious if Chevy just used small block Chevy retainers or they were unique
to the Corvair.
Thanks.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
