<VV> Getting rear window trim on through 3M Window Weld.

Hi I am trying to get the rear window upper trim back on. I had to fill it
with 3M Window Weld to make it stop leaking. It is now filled with
essentially chewing gum. Is there a technique to get the trim back in? The
clip is somewhere in the goo.
