<VV> 1964 dual carb coupe Goes through belts fast.

Did you do the alternator conversion? Did you replace the generator/oil filter housing with one from an alternator car? Are your belt guides properly adjusted? Both of them?

Hi My 1964 dual carb coupe goes through belts fast. Black powder settles on
the oil filter body thickly. It has the alternator conversion. Why might it
go through belts so fast?
