Ray, I am running 15 x 7 Aluminum Camaro wheels ( 1985 ? ) on my 66 Corsa V-8. Fronts are 205 x 60-15. Rears are 235 x 60-15. The rears required a little trimming of the fender lip in two spots. A better choice would have been 225 x 60-15 on the rear. The aluminum wheels are much thicker so I installed 7/16" dia Corvette lug bolts. They are a little longer than Corvair but same diameter as Corvair. Camaros had metric lug nuts so don't use those. They will screw on but the thread engagement is poor. Get after market nuts with 7'16 English threads. I did not explore if the Camaro lug bolts could be used on the Corvair axle. Jim Stukenborg

In 2002 as my resto of my 65 Corsa 140 Convertible neared completion I decided the 84 Z28 wheels 15" was my choice. I looked at several for sale and also saw one or 2 IROC sets 16" around costing 10 times as much. My resto was limited on budjet so I chose 15" wheels and went on. I found the center caps that did not say Z28 (just the bowtie)on ebay because the wheels were an option on S10 for a time

>Ideal backspace for a 7" rim would be >< 4.75. I have 15x7 IROC Camaro rims on the front of my LM. Backspace is 3.5". The steering is a bit twitchy on bumpy roads due to the less than ideal backspace.
>
>I moved my 16x8" wheels to the front with 5.25 backspace and it is less twitchy, so backspace is important. Tire dia. is important. Wider tires mean more contact area with road which = more feedback through the steering wheel.
