Good question. I learned recently that some of the later Ultravans have the same VIN because they used the engine code that was the same for a some of the 307 powered ones.

Except for 67-69, Corvairs were built in multiple plants. In those years, is it possible for 2 cars to have identical
VIN's (except for the plant code) or was their communication between plants to prevent it? From my experience with late models,
I don't see any obvious differences in the VIN's between Willow Run and Van Nuys (except for the plant code).
Just something keeping me awake at night.
