Okay I finally got back to this. I had 4 inches of water in my garage from
Hurricane Harvey but no harm no foul. Many of my neighbors are harmed and
fouled. It would appear that I think I found the problem. Note in the
after picture the fitting to the right has a sleeve which goes over a ball
deeper in the transmission. The after picture shows clearly that the
fitting sleeve is not on the ball holding it at the proper orientation. I
have put it back on. I am waiting for the Permatex #2 on the pan gasket to
dry before filling it and trying it. I wonder how garages make deadlines
since the Permatex #2 directions which say wait 24 hours before filling.
