I have done that (many years ago) to my then 64 Spyder). Get the old one  
off and roll all windows down , removeve back seat and sides., open doors ,  
stand up under the donor and walk it over to the other car  , get sides  
down in the quarters , then you can do it. I did it alone from a wreck 63 with  
new top to my car with warn top and bad window.  As far as I know , that  
top is still good. I sold the car after having it 30 years.
