Thanks for taking the time to respond.  It did not occur to me to remove the headlight bucket/s.
I failed to mention the car is a Crown conversion and has the bottom of the trunk removed and the wheel wells are open.  I will try to see if I can get to the lock attaching nuts in the trunk by either using the existing openings or removing the buckets.
