Thanks for the response!  The ground tab, either on the plastic ones you
have or the NAPA ones that Marc Sheridan pointed out in the CORSA Tech
Guide (Lights section) are good insurance.

Now if only someone made a high reliability brake light switch.  The
standard GM (and parts store) version is just two pieces of springy brass
with contacts on the end.  When the contacts get dirty or burn a bit, they
don't make good contact.  A high reliability switch would have either a
self wiping feature or a positive "snap" action to ensure good contact.
