<VV> IMPALING STEERING not Corvair!

Worst ones I ever saw  (more than one!) was VW bug. I have seen more  than 
one in junkyards that killed  the drivers. Shaft was out ahead of the  axle 
, came out of housing and went thru the neck. Some of the crashes were not  
that much damage showing , but inside of the car was gross.
 many years ago ,  I parted out a fairly new 63 Corvair that hit  a bridge 
so hard , it ripped ball joints apart , driver walked away with minor  
injuries. Steering column was fine.
