<VV> FW: Floor Jack Question

Here is a stripped down email, sans image that is probably being scrubbed as
we speak.

 

The unit marked as "1" in the manual's diagram has a single orange rubber
plug covering an adjustment screw, that says "DO NOT ADJUST"???

 

There is also a tiny little set screw (was/will be "B" in scrubbed image)
that does not appear to do anything at all, and just spins in its recess.
