<VV> where to start?

guys I have a 60 500 coupe, all the lights work running lights, headlights, brake lights,but cant get the turn signal lights to work, I have a 60 shop manual but not a lot of detail on trouble shooting this, any ideas as to WHERE TO START? Trey Bosson
