Any member who may have known Robert Metz may want to know about his 1964 Corvair Convertible that I recently purchased. From what I have been able to determine, Robert was a design engineer for Chrysler and restored many Corvairs after retiring. He relocated to central Florida and passed in 2009. This restoration was immaculate. I have been restoring cars of the 50's and 60's for 30 years and I was recently told that this vehicle was the best example of a 1st generation Corvair, he had ever seen. This is a 4 speed car, 140hp, 4 carbs, runs and drives perfect.
