Unrelated to Adam-12, but in a similar vein, I was stopped for speeding 
one night in 1970, while driving my '68 Monza coupe, 110-PG.  The cop 
car was unmarked, so it took me a while to realize that the big MoPar 
behind me was The Law.

Once I stopped, the cop said, "I thought you were trying to run. But in 
a Corvair?"

That ticked me off.  Immediately I wished I HAD run.  Just ahead was a 
270-degree right-hand exit ramp with which I was very familiar.  I 
figured I could have left that hulking Dodge behind on that ramp.

But that was when I was young and stupid.  I am no longer stupid.
