Another tip, from an item in Auto Restorer magazine: Common vegetable oil will clean off oil- and grease-soaked dirt -- or is it dirt-impregnated oil and grease? -- supposedly the toughest thing to remove except maybe ghost slime (my comment, ha ha). That suggestion from a guy who restores old farm tractors.
