I've seen way too many engines where people used "liberally lots of
""RTV" permatex form-a-gasket" and it is all through the engine,
including in the oil screen.
Use sparingly!

NOT the copper stuff in a can. This comes in a tube. At some point i'd recommend doing a complete "re-seal" of your drive train. I've found its' a whole bunch easier to pull the drivetrain to do it. A bunch of jobs "overlap". This way, you can do all the needed jobs at one sitting as opposed to doing a whole bunch of the same jobs over and over again to finally get to the culprit! Just my .02 cents worth.
