Subject: Re: <VV> Oil pump question
My standard oil pump took a lot of effort, and when it built pressure I could not turn it steadily.
So I assume you can flow more oil more quickly and you may not be able to turn it all the time.
I would build pressure, wait 15 seconds, then turn to pressure, did this over and over, took a dozen times and had oil up to the roller rocker bearings and watched the oil level go down in the sump in between turning the oil pump shaft.

Hi,
On a freshly built engine, one with a new high volume oil pump installed,
how much pressure does it take to turn the oil pump using a large
screwdriver in the distributor shaft?
I can turn it but it's taking more effort than I would have thought.
Any opinions?
Thanks,
Bob
