Tom - Do you mean the oil filter retaining bolt? Jerry seemed to be  
thinking that there was a pressure relief valve issue. This is the cap bolt on  
the side of the rear housing that holds a spring up against a plunger. This  
one is tough to get out in the car, but it can be done. Then the spring and  
plunger can be removed, or, at least verified that they are free to move. -
