My son had a leak at the front right at the head gasket on his 2.0 L VW Jetta that turned out to be a small crack in the block.  He used a stop leak (the one with little beads) to keep it sealed for two months until he could buy a good used engine.  Hope your son's can be more easily (and cheaply) fixed.

Hi all,

My son drives a 2001 VW Jetta 2.0 that has a small coolant leak between the
head and the block.  Can anyone recommend some magic elixir that MIGHT cork
the leak.  It leaved a bit of a dribble where ever it parks.  Anything in
lieu of a $1500.00 head gasket replacement.
