No, Walmart carries many 13" tires.
And trailer tires are way more than $46 each at Walmart!
He didn't buy 185/80 R13 tires from Walmart, though, he must have bought
175/70R13, which is too short. I know, as I have a set on my 64 Spyder 2
door. Look funny, but keep the car off the road, and slightly increase
rear axle ratio. Quite lively. Back 30 years ago, I ran 175/80R13 tires
on all my early models. Club members who autocrossed ran A78s fiberglass
belted on the track. Why? Ask them... Just because the factory size sort
of relates to 185/80 does not mean that is the only thing that will
work. Just look at all the wheel diameter changes people do. Look at
the tread width actually touching the road of a 6.50-13 Atlas Plycron
compared to a 175/70 R13 radial. Now the speedometer will be no where
accurate!
As others have said, you can beat Coker's price on the 185/80R13 Maxxis
even by just ordering from Maxxis direct. Like $50 a tire beat them! I
bought two sets direct from Maxxis when they first got reproduced.
