spark plugs are funny things - a couple of times on my Honda CB-750 (air 
cooled 4 cyl motorcycle), the bike would refuse to pull under load.
Oddly, it didn't just misfire - all four would stop firing, and resume 
when I eased up on the throttle.
Turned out it was just plugs - everything else was fine.
So, it was global simultaneous misfire.
